I have received personal training from Odette and would not hesitate to work with her again for additional training. I use to be quite active and regularly worked out. Ten years ago I experienced a spinal cord injury, was initially paralyzed and now have residual deficits (muscle weakness, numbness and spasms). After learning to walk again, exercise and fitness have become a major priority for me to maintain the strength and abilities I re-acquired. Odette’s sessions have been extremely beneficial. Her acute attention to the details of Pilates movements gave me a real sense and understanding of what my body and muscles are supposed to be doing. I especially appreciate her encouragement and inspiration, and how she makes you recognize your level and limitations of the movement (“you have to own it!”) before you should move on. So you benefit from and learn the exercise no matter what level you are at. Besides her expertise and knowledge of personal training, she has a wonderful sense of humor and keen sense of one’s personal needs.
I have been a client/student of Odette’s for approximately 2+ years. I began taking non-impact classes with Odette after a 10-year hiatus from any form of exercise. Over time, with Odette’s encouragement and guidance, I moved up to taking 6 classes a week with Odette.
Odette is an outstanding teacher. She has a way of connecting with you on a personal level no matter what your age. She constantly demonstrates her love of guiding and teaching and most of all encouraging you to “reach” the next level. What I liked most of all was the “non-threatening” atmosphere Odette provided – it is always about you “doing your best”. I have had the opportunity to observe other teachers and with them it is about how great they look and how great they can do the exercise – with Odette it is about making you look great!

Odette has been instructing me in Pilates for the last two years. I feel she is an amazing teacher as she is so dedicated and pays attention to details. I am a Registered Nurse who was diagnosed with Cervical Herniation 14 years ago. I have experienced many modalities of bodywork and exercise in order to maintain my body strong and pain-free. Surgery is something I have successfully avoided. Pilates, and working with Odette Proctor as my trainer, has been a wonderful addition to my collection of workouts. Odette has taught me the Core work necessary to support my back. She also has motivated me to carry myself in a way that aligns my frame and enables me to move through life with ease. The increased strength is a preventative aspect for over-all wellness. I feel strong in a new way. The Reformer work has been challenging, yet with Odette as my guide and teacher it also has been fun and rewarding. I have experienced Odette’s personal training and group fitness classes for the past 5 years. I have always been impressed by her dedication to detail and form. She never lets you get away with anything! Her focus has allowed me to become more connected to my body in every way. In adding her Private Reformer sessions to my fitness routine, the results have been phenomenal. The intimate feeling of her home studio has allowed me to venture out of my comfort zone and into a stronger, more-connected place. My core and abdominal area is so much stronger and firmer. My back pain and stiffness are also gone and my posture is much stronger. Her personal story and weight loss journey have also been a true inspiration.
